Apprenticeship and Industry Training offices provide:

Counselling Services

Administration Services

  • Registration of apprenticeship contracts and the maintenance of competence portfolios
  • Registration of qualification and equivalency applications
  • Supervision of apprenticeship and Red Seal examinations
  • Record management of employer and apprentices through regular shop visits

Legislation Services

  • Enforcement of the Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Act and all regulations related to apprenticeship training, trade certification and working in the trades in the Province of Alberta
  • Participates in the appeal process
