Chinook Sexual Assault Centre

The Chinook Sexual Assault Centre provides specialized supports for people impacted by sexual abuse/assault throughout Southwest Alberta. We honour that each journey for healing looks different and is unique by offering services that are client centred and trauma informed to people of all ages, genders, sexual orientations and backgrounds. We are also there to help loved ones feel confident in the support they are providing. As a community organization, we work to increase public and government awareness of issues involving sexual abuse and sexual violence and the impacts they have on our community. Known for our leadership and advocacy, we actively work with like-minded agencies and community groups in creating meaningful social and social justice change. We are committed to investing in research based and evaluated programs. We provide education sessions for groups, workplaces and schools with an aim to foster prevention of sexual violence and to support the prevention efforts of others. We also proudly to host counselling at our centre at no charge for adults who have experienced sexual violence. Together, our team is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people we serve.
